We did a search and found the correct spelling....Punxsutawney Phil....Guessed yesterday....Wrong....

Anyway....Phil actually passed-out in front of the crowd we hear....Too much stress on the little guy....

Crowd boos heard all over the place....

We hear Phil had a few-too-many-pops the night before to deal with the stress....

We also hear Phil will be in "Groundhog Rehab" for a few months....

The officials are calling it....Phil saw his shadow....They say....Hence 6 more weeks of winter....

Meanwhile....Ohio's Buckeye Chuck didn't pass-out....Did not see his shadow....

He predicts an early spring....

We'll go with Buckeye Chuck.

We figure he's sober....No need for rehab....Probably a more trust-worthy weather prognosticator.

We prefer the sober-esque weather guys anyway....

We have a nice joke this morning from our Good Bud Greg from Philly....

A nice, calm and respectable lady went into the pharmacy, walked up to the pharmacist, looked straight into his eyes, and said, "I would like to buy some cyanide.
The pharmacist asked, "Why in the world do you need cyanide?" The lady replied, "I need it to poison my husband."
The pharmacist's eyes got big and he explained, "Lord have mercy! I can't give you cyanide to kill your husband, that's against the law. I'll lose my license! They'll throw both of us in jail! All kinds of bad things will happen. Absolutely not! You CANNOT have any cyanide!"
The lady reached into her purse and pulled out a picture of her husband in bed with the pharmacist's wife.....
The pharmacist looked at the picture and replied, "You didn't tell me you had a prescription."

That's A Great Joke! Thanks Greg!

Tomorrow is Groundhog Day....We wonder if Punxatawney Phil will see his shadow.

"I'm calling to report 'bout my neighbor Virgil Smith....He's hidin' marijuana inside his firewood! Don't quite know how he gets it inside them logs , but he's hidin' it there."

"Thank you very much for the call, sir."

The next day, the Sheriff's Deputies descend on Virgil's house. They search the shed where the firewood is kept. Using axes, they bust open every piece of wood, but; find no marijuana. They sneer at Virgil and leave.

Shortly, the phone rings at Virgil's house.

Hi Nina and Greg,

Hope your weekend has gone well. Here it has been cold and clear. Now it is mild and raining and we can expect rain more or less all this week with slightly above freezing temperatures. Next Sunday it is expected freezing and maybe some snow. We have several inches snow on the ground now. More than you see in the first few pictures below. There my dog is enjoying himself in the cold and snow on the terrace.

The photos are taken yesterday on I trip I was with some friends from Oslo when we drove (north of Oslo about 90 minutes) to Hadeland Glass Works. You may notice that the road is not exactly US Interstate standard, but this is typical Norwegian national highway standard.

Hadeland opened in the late 1700s and is still in operation. They produce designer glass products and crystal. We were in some of their stores to mainly look around and see the Christmas decorations outside.

A note about the photo of the cart with dolls in it. The dolls are typical Norwegian Julenisser and wife (something like Russian Дед Мороз and his wife).

Hope you enjoy the photos. May help you get an idea how Santa´s workshop operates.

Now consider a group of Baboons. They are the loudest, most dangerous,

most obnoxious, most viciously aggressive and least intelligent of all

primates.

And what is the proper collective noun for a group of baboons?

Believe it or not ....... a Congress!

It is all becoming perfectly clear.

All photos are from Horten except the last photo of the fishing boat (taken in Moss). The photos show typical small town Norway.

The last photo is of shrimp boat that sells directly to the public which is somewhat common but much of shrimp here is sold through grocery stores.

Hi Nina and Greg,

Good talking to you both yesterday.

Always a motivating time for me.

Here is supplement to the photos I took last Friday in Fredrikstad. I was there again on Monday and thought you would like to see a few more photos I took that day. It was cloudy and not too long before sunset. Fredrikstad is quite colorful particularly in the summer but I was able to capture a little of that color on Monday. The sunset was quite cloudy and includes harbor area. A good number of boats are wrapped up (and packed in) for the winter. The two red boats are part of the local fire and rescue service. Hope you enjoy the photos. A few summers ago Fredrikstad hosted a Tall Ships Race and then there were many old-fashioned high masted ships that were moored in Fredrikstad harbor for several days.

Thanks for your photos yesterday. The greenery there in Akron is very pleasant for my eyes. Lucky you are living so close to wonderful outside area. Also lucky you get sun once and a while. We maybe will have one day this week with sun. But good news is that all days in near future (9 days forward) temperature here should be above freezing even at night with bonus of no expected rain. Mostly gray days now.

I took bicycle trip in Askim this afternoon and took some photos along the way....

Your response is appreciated, but once again is not helpful.

Our site contains no harmful downloads or viruses. We have the green light from Norton Antivirus, as it appears on all the search engines including Yahoo.

We have once again checked our listing on Bing, from your link, and again Bing search results show no warnings about our site.

The problem is the Yahoo Search Scan Beta program, which is the Yahoo partnership with McAfee Antivirus.

As you know, many small businesses have been effected by the "glitch" in your Yahoo Search Scan Beta program which falsely adds a "Warning Dangerous Downloads" search result on many business listings on Yahoo Search.

We get the impression from Yahoo that you people have no control over what Yahoo Search publishes, and we understand that since Yahoo is really only an arm of Bing.

The problem we have, as you probably understand, is the fact that Yahoo Search is still showing that warning on our Yahoo Search results, for no reason at all except for the "glitch" with your Yahoo Search Scan Beta. Bing Search shows no such warning, so we see no point in writing to Bing.

We have written Yahoo and McAfee Antivirus on this issue, McAfee hasn't replied at all. At least you have answered our letter.

We will publish this correspondence in hopes of forcing a resolution from Yahoo and McAfee Antivirus.
